Just realized an interesting thing, that there wont be any 3 year old upsherens anywhere this month- Adar1 .
I know that technically you could make an upsheren any time, and skver make by 2 yo, but there wont be any Bo bayom 3 year olds

Yes, we had a boy in Adar 3 years ago, but it will be another month until we can snip his curls.

It's interesting. I am actually due in a couple weeks with a boy iyh. I keep thinking how interesting it will be to figure out upsherin, bar mitzvah, etc.
I actually just checked and in three years is a leap year also so upsherin can be fine but bar mitzvah year there is only one adar.

I’m not sure this is correct. I think it actually was a leap year 13 years ago. Anyone know for sure?

Oh yes, because 13 years ago was an iber yahr- there was an Adar1. But three years ago wasn't.

Nothing to figure out. If there is a leap year the simcha will be in adar alef. If not it's just in adar like everyone else.

That's actually the least complicated Adar birthday! Being born in Adar in a leap year simplifies everything!
