Hi I need a doctor to get my 7 year old son diagnosed and medication for ADHD. He is not focusing, distracted, and impulsive and it’s affecting him in school

Shaindy Parnes is excellent. She’s not taking any new patients but she has 2 people working for her that she oversees and they are taking new patients.

Dr. Lapidus. He works in Mycare now and does consults. I've been using him for years and am very happy.

My teen was diagnosed by Dr. Lapides when he was still part of Dr. Shanik's practice. She is now seeing a PA in the Brick office who is specializing in this. Forgot her name, we only saw her once so far.....

He charges $750 for the first session, and a minimum of $150 each time after 😠
Use someone that takes insurance

There is a Dr. Kaplowitz that works in Precious Health. Is that the same one?

Why have you already decided that your son needs to be diagnosed and medicated for adhd? Are you a doctor who specializes in pediatric mental health? If so, then why are you on here looking for recommendations?

Dont see why you have a problem with this post? She seems to think her child has adhd and wants to see a Dr. abt it. If a Dr doesnt seem to think her child has adhd Im sure he wont give meds...

I didn’t decide for sure. I want to speak to a doctor that specializes in this and see what they recommend. That’s why I asked for doctors that deal with ADHD. His teachers are calling and complaining he doesn’t sit still, very impulsive, distracted, and not focusing in school. If medication can help him, why not?

Relief told me about pa kanev at Shanik
and chani zlotowitz at dr kaplowitz. But zlotowitz doesn’t take my insurance and will be $350 then $150 each follow up

LCSC has great prescribers and they accept Medicaid.
I think Chemed also does.

Do u know any names at lcsc or chemed that specialize in this? And can they prescribe medication?

I think LCSC and Chemed only prescribe for clients who see their therapists.
