I have nice white hand towels that are a very comfortable material. But they get so dirty! Probably from my kids. Any ideas how to clean?

I do nice patterns, greys, browns, purples etc.. no white. You can do solid grey if you prefer solid.

I save white towels for guest rooms only, and even then I expect to replace them often

Don't blame your kids. This happens with all white towels--really, all pale color towels--because the act of drying rubs superficial skin cells and skin oils into the fabric and these don't come out in home wash machines. You'd need an industrial laundry with industrial chemicals to do that. All my hand towels are dark colors, and if you gave me a white one as a gift I would regift it immediately. I have deep colors like burgundy, navy, eggplant, hunter green, black. No brown because I dislike the color, but if I had a brown floor maybe I would use brown to match. Or not. I don't really pay attention to the floor. I don't have the luxury of a powder room, just one bathroom, and my bath and hand towels coordinate with the shower curtains. As a guest I wouldn't look down on you because your hand towels don't match the floor. I might, though, if you set out towels that had obvious "cow tracks"--that's what those awful dark patches in the middle of a towel are called. They don't show on dark towels.

I only use white hand towels for the bathrooms. I change them almost daily and replace as needed.

I have this issue also. To match my bathroom the towels either need to be a very specific shade, or white. I couldn't find that shade anywhere so I did white. But it's really annoying and I don't know how to keep them perfectly clean. So impractical but not sure what to do, because anything else will clash. Ideas?
