So upset over bad experience with frum store UPDATE

Whenever people complain over bad customer service with frum stores, I generally try to see the stores side.
But my own bad experience, leaves me so upset. I ordered 2 of the same items, I received only 1, they only had 1 in stock. But they charged me for 2. They offered to refund me for just 1 item. I told them I have nothing from 1, I need 2. They're refusing to hear me out and basically banged down the phone on me. This is a very popular children's clothing store. I'm so upset over this. Such bad customer service. What am I supposed to do now with just 1 item I can't use?

They don't let because the exchange/return window has passed. I tried telling them that it's a problem on their side, but they're not budging. "This is store policy".

I received it about a week ago. I right away told them that one item is missing. They said that they'll work on getting it for me. They called me today that they can't get it & they can refund me for that 1 item.

I used debit.
Was thinking of disputing. But I never did that.

I only use Amex with return protection in Jewish stores. Awful return policies and Amex will refund if store won't accept back within 90 days

100% wrong on their part. They should have warned you that they won't take back the other one if they couldn't get the 2nd. I have twins so always order 2 of the same item and would have no use for only 1 if I ordered 2. Very frustrating and I'd dispute the charge in the case

How’s that fair if they tell you the policy beforehand? Don’t shop there if you don’t like the policy.
