Can someone please help us find a yeshiva for our son (currently in 7th so we have some time). Looking for a yeshiva that fits the below criteria:
1. Very high academics for both English and Hebrew (this is a must)
2. Hashkafically something in the middle (not yeshivish and not MO- does that exist? If it had to be one, he’d prefer yeshivish but a place where the kids also have fun
3. A place with a dorm as none of the local yeshivas will work for him

Ner Yisroel in Baltimore has a good blend of kodesh and chol, as well as a dorm. Other yeshivos known for excelling in both areas are Ohavei in Riverdale, Heichal in Teaneck, Yesodei in Queens, Mesivta in Philly, Ohr Yisrael in Boston, and Shaarei Torah in Monsey, though I don't know which if any have dorms.

Heichal Hatorah in Teaneck ( no dorm ).
Excellent school, very high level academics & very high in learning ( they do have tracks ).

We are very happy in Ohavei. There is a dorm but only Monday through Thursday and only some boys dorm. No dorm on Shabbos or Sunday night. If you live in NY/NJ it’s an excellent option. I think there are dormers from Philly this year too.

The ones on here I'm familiar with are what I would consider yeshivish leaning...
