Just wondering when applying to lakewood high schools do u automatically get an interview?

I applied to 4 schools got interviews with 2, unless something changed over the last 3 years the answer is no.
I know other people who did not get interviews with all the schools they applied to.

No. I have heard of some schools not giving students from certain schools interviews. I know someone who got her application fee back from a school that didn't give her DD an interview (though her DD BH got into two of her 4 choices, and didn't need that particular interview).

Wow why don’t they give from that school?
Also why would someone from that school apply there if it’s known?

Elitism.
Girls didn't know that they wouldn't be given an interview. And with the Vaad forcing a number of applications, students sometimes apply somewhere even if the chances of getting accepted are low.

You get your application fee back if you don't get an interview?
...and some schools will give you an interview even if they have no interest in accepting you because you come from that school. Witch I feel is worse that saying upfront that they don't want you.

Same experience.
I applied to 4 schools, only got interviewed at 3.
That last one was a long shot, though, and I was only applying there to fulfill the Vaads requirements

Not automatically. She requested it, was a little back and forth, and they sent it. She felt vindicated I guess. Why should she pay same fee as others who did get an interview?
