Something like $3,000 for a c-section + 4 days in the hospital.

That's not counting all the appointments and several MFM visits.

I have oxford pay close to 3k a month for premium. My birth cost $7800 between deductible and coinsurance.

1199 is the name of the insurance. It’s for healthcare workers. Many hospitals and nursing homes have it. BH no deductible.

I have BCBS and paid $10 or $15 for the first “pregnancy confirmation” appointment and bh 0 after that. Included every appointment, sono’s, blood work, c section, hospitals stay etc.

Why was I hugged??

Last pregnancy (cs) was around $1600. Horizon Omnia Silver via marketplace

Breakdown:
OB- $25 copay, first visit only
Ultrasounds- $20 copay, had 3 or 4
Hospital stay- $500 per day, capped at $1500

Expecting same this pregnancy, the copays are the same but different insurance (Omnia Gold)

I have Aetna, pay around $2000 monthly premium and then have around $5000 deductible, after that I pay 50% until around 10,000
I don't pay for ob appointments but pay for ultrasounds, and then pay for delivery and hospital stay up until the $10,000 depending on what other medical expenses I paid for that year.

My last baby was December, and the benefits start over in January, so I couldn't really even cash in on the rest of the year with everything being free...

I have empire bcbs - now Anthem and DC had a hospital stay recently with $0 copay. Hospital stay included multi day picu visit, etc...

If someone has insurance through an employer, for example, the benefits are generally extremely good especially if it a large employer.

The names have many plans and many large corporations self insure and just use the insurance companies to administer. The company decides exactly what their plans will cover.

I work in a public school so BH have excellent health insurance. I have no deductible, my premium is very affordable and the only copays are for sick visits ($10) or a specialist visit ($15). Everything else is free Bh. Thank G-d because the hospital stay alone for c section plus baby was in NICU even just for a day would’ve been like $30K

Free, in an academic hospital with a midwife and a epidural. Bh I don’t live in the states
