Here’s my issue-
I’m short and a size 12-14 so I’m not thin. I have big thighs that I don’t want to draw attention to.
I need a weekday black skirt. Because of my height and weight skirts I’ve been trying on are either too tight or way too long.
Do short people wear maxi length? I don’t think so… unless they’re very thin. So what length skirt would look nice for someone short and chubby?
Today I wore a maxi length pleated black skirt but I felt so schlumpy. I have an old straight back skirt that fits me that hits a few inches past the knee but I don’t see anyone wearing that style.
I’m really desperate for a new skirt and I have no one to ask for opinions.
Can you help me?
I would really appreciate some links if possible.

If you had to choose would you choose trendy or “flattering”?
I do see chubby people wearing that apparalel pleated short skirt btw.

Pleated skirts imho only work for very thin people. They add pounds to anyone wearing them…

I cut off many inches at the Chinese dressmaker to make it the right length for me.

Fake pleats can work: a subtle a line with vertical lines that don't actually bunch up into pleats.
Pleats also can work if they don't start from the top.
