All baby cereal is garbage honestly and a lot of companies not just Gerber have been recalled or been in the news for issues

Are you starting solids? You can give real food.

I don't need to give cereal with it? Baby will be full with just the food?

You’re trying to fill them up or just expose them to food?
In the beginning it’s not about filling them up. They still will get breast milk or formula to do that.

Babies are little people. They get full with food like adults do.

To meet their nutritional needs, they need mother's milk or formula also. Baby cereal generally doesn't offer much by way of nutrition.

Under 1, primary nutrition source should still be breastmikk or formula
First feed then offer solids
Real food offers sensory experience. Exposure to taste. Helps the oral muscles and tongue which is prep for speaking. As the gut develops, helps build gut health.
Rice cereal is literally garbage. Nutritionally empty and just mush on a spoon so zero benefits.

You can make your own baby cereal very easily. Put rice or oats in the blender. Add hot water to the rice or cook the rice. It's really that easy.

Babies are humans. They eat food. They may not be able to chew but they eat real food. Commercial baby cereal is just a scam.

The advantage of “baby cereal “ is they add vitamins. So there is an advantage, but it’s not crucial

Added vitamins are not necessarily a good thing. Whole foods which contain natural vitamins are good. Added vitamins can be helpful or harmful. The added iron in commercial baby cereal is actually harmful to breastfed babies.
