I'm looking for a gorgeous shabbos dress for dd12
She's tall and plus sized and carries a lot of weight in her stomach. It needs to be a children's size 18, most go up to 16 but are too short and small. Nothing waisted. Young fresh styles, but not too juvenile. She already has something floral, so preferably not that. I prefer breathable fabrics. No skirts and tops. Budget up to 200.

Why does it need to be children sized? | Because she has a child's body and build, barely barely developed at all, I don't want to dress her like an adult. I find the teen/adult stuff the proportions are very off. Not to mention the styles are way too mature.

Wanted to add that the Porter brand usually has very nice stuff in that size. Lots of frum stores carry them.

She doesn't do well with drop waists either, they're usually too straight and narrow over the stomach. She needs a high waist with gathering on the top. Or just an a line style

is she's tall and large, I strongly suggest you look at secular adult sizes. my daughter is 13 she's been in adult sizes for some time. before her bas mitzvah we got her a dress that was an adult size medium.

I saw plenty of girls her age trying on Udel clothing. If she’s really hard to fit I strongly encourage you to consider alterations. It’s been life changing for my shopping, no exaggeration. Something like is very reasonable priced looks age appropriate, you’d end up coming in under or not much over your budget even if it needs major alterations.

And I know you said you have florals but it’s a popular pattern. Dd went shopping with a few girls and they came back almost exclusively with florals, multiple Shabbos dresses each.

There is a store in monsey called Monarch that has a zillion options for juniors up to size 22 for kids. The prices are excellent as far as Jewish stores go, and the sales ladies are tactful. We lived there for years…
