My 10 month old baby doesn't sleep in a carriage or a car seat. Only in a bed. I go crazy. He's crying overtired always when we travel. I can't travel or shop or do anything with him if he misses his nap. Anyone ever had this?! How am I supposed to go anywhere?!?

My kids also pretty much only slept in their cribs. I revolved my life around nap times. At about 12 months they go down to 1 nap and then it's pretty easy to do your shopping / trips either before or after and make sure to be home for nap time. If you have an appointment or something at nap time you can always get a babysitter. That's life with a baby!

You just do it. It’s okay if sleep isn’t good for a few days. Don’t revolve everything around naps. In my opinion it’s not healthy. Some people become obsessive over the scheduling.

I'm not necessarily talking about naps! More like 12 hour flights!

You don’t think he will just pass out from exhaustion eventually?

My kids were like that too. Only napped well in carrier being worn or crib. Cried a lot in cars. It was really hard

Sounds like you need a carrier

Will he sleep in a full lie-flat carriage? If so, you can get a "bed" for an airplane seat.

Mine never slept anywhere except a cushy bed also...
I literally shlepped 2 pillows and a blanket with me and simulated a bed on my lap or in plane bassinet..
