Today and Friday my kids were hungry and I didn't have sufficient variety and supply of snack.
Take an apple or orange or eat some yogurt.

I hardboiled 23 eggs tonight, so u can take an egg too.

We bought lebens but cheshboned an amount for one a day throughout YT.

On pesach we'll be ok with our gala matza brei breakfasts and our massive matza pizza lunches, but until then and on YT what will we eat?

Looking for other food snack ideas.
Will try to buy grapes and other fruita and veg to eat on demand.

Prefer not to buy expensive items like baby fingers.

Wink

Tuna with homemade pesach crackers.
Guacamole with veggie sticks.
Deviled eggs.
Potato salad all ready in the fridge.
Same for quinoa salad.
Chocolate chip cookies made filling with ground almonds.
Frozen grapes.
Applesauce.

Make a lot of tuna and store in container in the fridge.
Cut a lot of veggies and store each one in a separate container in the fridge.
Everything should be ready and accessible.

And gonna try to compote, instead of applesauce, unless it's easy to make...

Just made a huge batch of tuna salad and egg salad for my kids to munch on...
I bought a few boxes of heaven and earth cassava tacos...they weren't so pricey...like $4 and change per box and they ate it with the tuna and egg...
I'll probably also buy some cream cheese and make some guacamole...
snacks on Erev YT and throughout YT are tough on Pesach!!

My kids ate noodle soup in outside hallway staircase.

Friday I made for toamehu potato kugel and roasted sweet potatoes in pesach oven, even if I didn't eat the shabbos meals home, that way they had what to eat on long Friday until we get to meal.

Btw, if someone reads and doesn't realize, the popcorn and rice cake suggestions are great for before preach because they're kitnoyos (unless sefardi...)

How do you make applesauce?

These are both delicious.

Pesach Crackers

2 cups almond flour
1 tbsp salt
1 large egg
1 tbsp oil
toppings as you please

Preheat oven to 375F.
Start mixing with a spoon. Will be like a wet sand mixture at first, but then start using your hands, and it will come together like play dough.
Lay the dough ball between 2 sheets parchment paper and lightly flatten with your hands. Then use a rolling pin or closed full bottle of wine to roll it really really thin.
Remove upper parchment paper and cut up into 2x2 cracker squares.
Sprinkle with coarse salt or your favorite mix of toppings.
Put the parchment paper back on top and roll one more time lightly to get the toppings in.
Place the parchment paper with the crackers on a cookie sheet and bake for 8-12 minutes, depending on oven.
When center is lightly golden, remove from oven. Let cool completely.
Once fully cool, break apart where you cut them, and store in airtight container.

Or with potato starch.

Crackers

4 eggs
4 flat tablespoons sugar
3/4 teaspoon salt
2 cups potato starch
2/3 cup oil

Preheat oven to 350F. In a bowl, combine all ingredients and mix together very well using a fork or a hand blender. Pour onto 2 cookie sheets lined with baking paper and spread evenly. Bake for 4-5 minutes, then remove from oven and slice into cracker shapes (so they separate evenly later). Place back in oven and bake for an additional 20 -25 minutes. Break apart and enjoy.

By applesauce I mean apple compote.

We have some very picky eaters so Pesach can be very challenging. About 4 years ago we bought a deep fryer for Pesach and wow, what a game changer! Totally unhealthy but on Pesach I just focus on filling tummies and less on healthy food.

We pour 3 bottles of oil in and leave it in all of Pesach due to the cost of Pesach oil (did I mention unhealthy?). The kids from age 7 and up make their own french fries. I buy huge sacks of potatoes and they peel, cut, and fry themselves. They basically snack all day on them.

Who cleans the deep fryer after pesach? TMI
