I’m a guest at 2 weddings that will be a week apart, same crowd.
I live VERY OOT, so on-line only
I’ve gained a lot of weight.
I’m a size 16 now, but I want to look and feel good.
Also I’m short so I don’t carry the weight well.
Third I’m on a budget so the dresses need to be affordable- under $100 each would be great
Forth - needs to be easily returnable in case I don’t like how it fits- which is most of the time.

Do you perhaps have anything in your closet that you can dress up or accessorize differently for it to be wedding appropriate? Is there a dress you wear with a shell that you can wear a bolero with or a blouse instead?
For your budget, it may just be easier to find something you already own and make it work.

Considering the cost of clothing and that you need something on the fancier side, how about one dress for both weddings with a budget of under $200. As long as it's not a very distinctive dress (eg unusual pattern or style), I think it's fine to wear it twice.

This. I would much rather get a beautiful dress under $200 and wear it to both.

I could wear a nicer Shabbat dress, but everyone’s seen it and I know most guests would be more dressed up
It’s a black tie affair
I’m asking here because I want something that in style and would make me feel beautiful

I would prefer 3/4 or long sleeve even if they are sheer and I have to wear a shell

Im going to really really encourage you to find one dress you love spend a little more and wear it twice.most ppl wont remember what you wore just that you looked really nice and if they do so what.

What would look nice
Since I gained weight I feel frumpy
What style would look nice on someone short, fat apple shape, more pumpkin shape
Plus - I can only wear flats because my back and knees hurt
