My daughter is going to start high school. She’s clueless and happy with anything I’d buy but I’d like her to have something that’s moderately in style. (And reasonably priced) She absolutely won’t want anything super cool or the latest brand. I have no idea even where to look. I guess she’s clueless for a reason.

I'm prefacing this by saying I don't have teenagers, but I have sisters in high school - most do not end up using their backpacks for all 4 years, from what I've seen.
I would count on 2 years, then they usually want another. and styles/brands can change.
When alo became big, alot of girls stopped with lululemon. Now it's alo for this, lululemon for that, some other brand for the other necessary item...
They go to a bais yaakov high school in tri state

My daughter wants the alo one, her friends have it. We’re in Baltimore.
Yes, styles change, we’ve gone from Kipling to Herschel to alo. Lunch bags have stayed as lululemon bags. Or other stores.
I wonder if the in brands are different out of town.

my daughter got one for ninth grade last year and hated it. It was very big and the shape was very odd and uncomfortable to use. she ended up getting a lululemon bag which was much better. (she goes to BK)
