Is there a significant difference between Economy and Premium Economy?

Anyone can share personal experience?

The food was absolutely FANTASTIC
Went 2 yrs ago and I’m still talking about the food.
The salmon topped with black lentils
The parfait at breakfast
Those were my 2 favorites and I still remember
All served with real China and cutlery
Also the seats recline ALMOST flat so I got off well rested

I felt super pampered

At that time it was an extra $200, which for 2 adults was a no brainer.

I don’t know the difference in cost now.

Hmmm. I thought Economy PREMIUM meant that you get a seat w/ more leg space, like front row & exit row.

And remember you might be sitting next to a screaming 4month old and toddler, since front row usually goes for families w/ children under 2.
But, it's been close to 9 month ago that I flew.

So perhaps, someone who flew more recently should chime in.

I think you're mixed up with business or first class.
Premium economy generally means more leg room & sometimes a wider seat.

I flew last year. The seats are a little wider ,you get more legs space and you can push it back a little more but definitely not flat. That is not premium economy.

The food is better, you'll get a little more attention, they offer you some extra things for free like a kit in the morning with toothbrush and toothpaste and something for the kids.

I found that it was worth it because we were four people and we were able to take up two rows of two so no one was next to us and we had a lot more space compared to regular economy but it's nothing like business or first. I was fine with points and we were for people and at that point the difference was not enormous but I think now it's a lot more expensive in general post 10/7.

What you're describing is business class. The meals in premium economy are the same meals that you get in economy. The differences are that premium economy has wider seats, extra leg room, and each person is allowed two carry-ons.
Also, the meals are served with real China and cutlery.

I don’t real care about the food and tableware….

My question is if the seats really do recline significantly more

I flew premium economy a couple of years ago when I was traveling by myself. I am a larger woman and usually need to request a seatbelt extender in economy class, but the seats in premium economy are definitely bigger and the seatbelts were longer as well. I was definitely much more comfortable. The seats are further apart from each other and recline more, and there is a little foot bar to make that even more comfortable. They give you a bottle of water and a little kit with a toothbrush and toothpaste and mini hand cream as well. I remember the food being okay but not great and it was served with real cutlery and a good quality napkin. I would pay the extra couple of hundred dollars for myself or if I was flying with just my husband, but it adds up too quickly when we fly as a family so we stick to coach then.

I thought so too but my DH told me it was premium economy
I don’t really care about the food, but it was so good that I’m still talking about it 2 yrs later.
I don’t even talk about the food in my favorite steakhouse like I do about the food in that flight

Up to $200 dolara definitely worth it. More I’d have to think about it
