I heard they're closing their special ed department and only keeping their aba... Is that true? if yes, who's taking over their schools?

If p3 won't be able to get above 125. No point in doing.
$250 hr and paying therapist $60-80 was worth it

I saw that email too. If providers can work directly with the DOE, that would be the best case scenario.

So yes I can is not servicing the schools anymore?
What will happen to all the children that need the services?

This will effect all children who received enhanced rate services(setss, para, etc) through an agency. If the agency did not require "enhanced rates" it shouldn't effect.

Their SETSS provider can work directly with the child bypassing the agency. It's a win-win

Omg! What about other agencies? What are the schools doing? Are they hiring someone on their own to be on top of all the p3 providers?

Nobody needs the agency's everyone!
Only one that benefits is the agency (...and some times the school)! Your provides should be very happy to have your rsa directly from you and not go through an agency. They can enhance themselves, or now just go with the mediation rate (125).

It is not so simple to just enhance the rates yourself. And how exactly are parents supposed to find all the providers themselves? It puts huge burden on the parents.

the regular rate is 42 per one kid. The rates went up when the agencies got involved and got lawyers to fight for more. That's what I was told at least

I’m a parent of a child with services- Is this because they tried to get too much?
That’s what I heard a therapist say.
Can someone explain the background?

Most schools have providers.
For many many years they did.
Parents would give the privider their setts form. Agency's give kick back to schools so schools locking with them. Only one who gains is agency. And school thinks they benefiting. Therapist through agency arent tthrilled. . Agwncy gets most of extras for themselves
