I have 2 kids that are young, not official diagnoses but absolutely have ADHD. The older one is more ADD, very difficult for her to focus, especially learning to read, etc. The younger one jumps from game to game, can't settle down with anything. And I find it to be extremely challenging. What has been helpful for others in similar situations? I can't medicate them yet, they're too young.

Exercise is great. A lot of outdoor play. Get their energy out.
Acceptance.. That this is who they are and you love them for who they are and you don't need change.
Focus on their strong points, talents and interests.
