I used to have a recipe that I cut out of a magazine in the mid to late 1990s for Truffle Brownies. It was a brownie layer baked for around 15-20 minutes, then a truffly layer poured on top and baked another 20 minutes or so. I probably found it in either Good Housekeeping or Ladies Home Journal. I know this is a real long shot but does anyone have this recipe?

I found it! I will share for anyone who wants. It's from a Bakers Chocolate ad in a magazine years ago. (I make it pareve but it's probably amazing milchigs)
8 oz semisweet choc, divided (you can use chocolate chips)
1/4 c (1/2 stick) butter or margarine
3/4 cup sugar, divided
3 eggs, divided
1 cup flour
2/3 cup heavy cream (I use Richs Whip)

Heat oven to 350
Line 8" square pan with foil leaving enough on both sides to lift out of the pan after baking, spray with baking spray
Melt 2 oz chocolate with margarine. Stir in 1/2 c sugar and 1 egg until blended. Stir in flour and spread in the pan.

Melt rest of chocolate with cream.
Beat 2 eggs and 1/4 cup sugar until thick and lemon colored. Beat in melted chocolate/cream. Pour into pan.

Bake 35-40 minutes until mousse topping is set and edges begin to pull away from pan. Run knife around the edge of the brownie in the pan. Let cool. Lift out of pan and cut into 16 pieces to serve.

Enjoy!
