It's a long shabbos afternoon, enough time for the kids to take a long nap.
Shabbos ends late, it takes time to prep.
Our lives shouldn't revolve around kids bed time.

A ideas, You can put your kids to bed regular time and then wake them up at 10:30.

I don't know where you live, but Shabbos ends late where I am. So of course it would start late.

Put the kids to nap on shabbos, shabbos ends pretty late

Or
1. Lag baomer is only once a year let them stay up late
2. Put them to sleep regular time and don't remind them it's lag baomer
3. Find somewhere that's making Sunday afternoon or make your own in you backyard

When exactly do you expect them to start if shabbos isn't over till at least 9 (and later if you keep R"T)?
