I am bH expecting and very queasy at the thought of things I usually love such as chicken on the bone, shnitzel, and salmon. (I do still like raw salmon sushi!)

For the first night I usually serve pareve so dh can have coffee. I don’t serve dairy because dh and kids don’t like it on yt. Anyone have ideas of what I can serve that’s pareve and relatively easy to make?

Is there such a thing as a pareve potato kugel I can buy in Lakewood?

Challah and dips like guacamole, tapanade, pesto.

Would you like to serve poke bowls with warm seasoned sushi rice, cubes of mango, avocado, edamame, kani (it's cooked), scallions, sesame seeds, sweet sauce, spicy mayo?

A great parve cream soup or chunky vegetable soup or mushroom barley.

Shakshuka with warm crusty challah or bread.

Dairy ice cream.

Pareve cream soups sound nice. Do you have any tried and true easy recipes you’d recommend?

Poke bowls sound good. Mm. Thanks. I don’t leave a flame on so I won’t be making the rice fresh but it’ll have to do.
I wonder if I can find high quality sushi grade raw fish. (If it’s super fresh I would eat it because I was told kosher fish has less listeria concerns than non kosher fish)

Not the poster but this is how I make my fish tacos:

Pat the salmon dry, pour olive oil all over and pat it in with a paper towel, sprinkle salt all over and then a decent covering of chili powder pat in and all over. Bake on 300 for 20 minutes and then broil for 5-7 minutes. Then shred apart the salmon and mix in with the spices from the top of the fish.
I put on the taco some garlic Mayo, shredded salmon, cole slaw, purple onion, spicy mayo (a drop of siracha mixed with a lot of Mayo), fresh squeezed lime or lemon.

The tacos there are a few options: flour tortillas, corn tortillas or hard corn tacos. 🌮

It’s delicious and a family favorite.

OP curious where you buy non-Pareve potato kugel? As far as I know most kugels and there are so many types are Pareve so you can serve lots of those if your family likes.
Apple Kugel
Onion Kugel
Potato Kugel
Vegetable Kugel
Broccoli Kugel
Cauliflower Kugel
Challah Kugel
Lukshen Kugel - Salt & Pepper
Lukshen Kugel - Sweet
Lukshen Kugel - Yerushalmi

It’s possible I missed some.

Very versatile and depending what you like

Fish can be salmon or breaded fish or fried fish or tilapia

You can use hard or soft tacos/tortillas

Add in lettuce, cabbage, avocado, beans if desired, coleslaw if desired, favorite dressing
