I was frying some hot dogs in a non-teflon pan and now the black stuff wont come off!!!
help!! suggestions?

Put baking soda and vinegar and water into a pan.
Heat till it bubbles.
That helps to lift the stuff off; you still might need to scrub but it works very well.

FYI teflon is getting alot of bad press nowadays. They say it's very unhealthy and worthwhile going back to regular stainless steel (not aluminum).

Just keep boiling a kettle, pour the water in, soak till it's cold & repeat. And repeat. And repeat. It may take a couple of days but it should work. I burn rice all the time
BTW...if coke can remove all these interesting gooky things, just think what it does to your kishkes!

if you have dishwasher detergent, you can add some to water and soak it in that.

I burnt something and the bottom (outside) of my pot is burnt- any suggestions other than steelwool to get the stain off??

I use oven cleaner - cold degreaser like Bagi Shunamit or Well Done to clean burnt on pots.

I bought some astonish gritty pot cleaner stuff. Works great on the char on the outside and the rice you weren't watching so it burnt to a crisp from the inside. hehe
