HELP. need some tips. I am teaching my 6yo this year in first grade.

this is a hard one - I taught my sister once.

so here: in class you're morah.
try your best to be fair (it's hard) and do not allow any, even small, incidents where he'll use you to cover up to pass -
besides that it will reflect on general discipline, kids might resent his 'higher' status.

Also let him know that b/c you're his mohter he can't relax - he has to do h/work, assingments, etc

PS do net let him in on your 'secrets' - ie things that you woldn't want your students to know; surprises, whose mother called, etc
