Anyone ever tried making choc brownies (the really rich type with lots of eggs) with applesauce?
How did it come out?
Will my kids be able to tell the difference?

I never tried it, but I was once given a recipe by a nutritionist. She substituted margarine with apple sauce. She said the taste is great. G'luck!

I haven't tried brownies, at least not recently, but I've tried lots of other cake recipes. It comes out not quite as rich but unless you tell anyone they won't know. You can also use mashed bananas or pureed prunes.

It works beautifully, no problems at all.
