simply replace the raisins with your chocolate chips
quaker oats
vanishing oatmeal raisin
1 cup crisco
1 cup brown sugar
1/2 cup regular sugar
2 eggs
1 tsp vanilla
mix (I use a whipper for fluffiness)
add 1 1/2 cups flour
1 tsp baking soda
1 tsp cinnamon (I put 2)
1/2 tsp salt
mix
3 cups quaker oat meal
1 cup raisins
(my variation white choc chips & craisins)
bake at 350 for 12 minutes

funny to see this topic- I just made them with my kids! yum I took the recipe from the quaker oats cover, and subsituted the raisons with a 1/2 a cup of mini chocolate chips. My sil did the recipe with whole wheat flour and added some wheat germ...didn't taste any different.
