Some words I never hear IRL, or at least I hear them way more here on imamother.com are:

flippant
dense

There are more, I just have to remember them.

Add to the list!

I use both. There are a lot of words I never use on Imamother that I do IRL--like my truly extensive vocabulary of profanities!

I am embarrassed to admit that I've been a member on this site for quite a number of years, but I still haven't figured out the 'ask your LOR'. Who/what is LOR? Lawyer or Rav? LOL

I grew up around sailors and then I've worked since I was 17 with grounds and construction crews...it rubs off on you.

My MIL is the only person I know who says the word "kimpeturin" on a regular basis.

Apparently I am too flippant in the way I read posts. It's not that I'm dense. Really.

As I flippantly flipped my blech over to make sure that my daughter the kimpeturin to be would not see the stains on one side, I realized that my cake was too dense for her to eat without getting heartburn this shabbos. Boy was I dense whe I made that cake, I remarked to myself flippantly...I had better ask my LOR's wife for a new recipie for a lighter cake...

my halacha teacher used to say that all the time in high school. whenever anyone asked something that was a shaila- he said, ask your local orthodox rabbi. (nevermind that he was the offical LOR for half the kids in the class, but whatever)

I could have written this, although far less humorously.
