I want to dip my sugar cookies in chocolate, does anyone have a good recipe for the chocolate, one that will stay nicely on the cookie.

what about a genache
melted choc chips with some riches whip (not whipped) to smooth it out so it doesn't dry hard and crack ...

I can use bitersweet chocolate I assume? think I need any sugar or the cream is sweet?

hm ... not sure how the sugar would make it ... since I never add sugar - I would be afraid it would be grainy ... the cookies are sweet ... you don't have semi-sweet ... maybe powdered sugar if it tastes bitter ... taste it before you dip ...

If you put in rich's whip, why would you need sugar? Isn't that sweet enough?

I imagine it depends on the individuals taste and what type of chocolate you use ... my sonny boy likes the bittersweet chocolate that has none of those additives that make it sweet - aside from vanilla ... I would need sugar in that ...
