I think it's spelled "supercilious" but I'm not sure. Just didn't look right to me. (Hey, if you're going to use fancy words gotta spell 'em right, no? )
I can't think any of my own right this second.

Those words are spelled antEdiluvian, meaning "from before the Flood", and superCilious. If you post big words and spell them wrong, you're super silly, yes.

it is supercilious. I am totally drawing a blank on any words. I can proofread the thread & caustically comment on other people's posts though. 8)

The word "normal" meaning "regular" is perfectly, uh, normal.
But, did you know it can also mean "orthogonal" or "perpendicular"?
As in, vector X is normal to plane YZ.
And, it can also refer to teaching, as in "Normal School", which is a teacher training school.

My favorite is "sesquipedalian", which means "preposterously long words that sound pompous" - of which "sesquipedalian" itself is a good example.
Etymologically it means "words a foot and a half long".

how dolorously malapropos of me! I feel quite lugubrious about the spelling mistakes in my original post. That's what I get for posting at 6:30 in the morning.

My favourite is 'superfluous'. I know it's not a word with a complex meaning, but I love the sound of it, and use it superfluously.

Oooh!! Oy!! Thank you!! I will edit. (And I am so careful to correct my students' mistakes...bad me!!) And yes, I realize that what I just wrote in parentheses is not a proper sentence.

you know what is odd ... I always feel fake when I use big words ... but then I realize I know more words than I think I know ... but apparently I cannot think of even one word to post ... so this entire idea to write favorite words is moot
