Speaking of donuts, does anyone have a recipe for cake donuts, not yeast donuts? I have kept chakav yisrael for a while and I sorely miss Entenmenns crumbs donuts and Dutch Mill Glazed.....Yummmmm

I have the mini donut baking pans, and I've tried the recipe that came with it and it didn't come out good. I would also like to hear of a recipe that someone tried and came out good. There was a recipe in the Binah last week, maybe I'll try it.

Bt don't those come out fluffy? The cake doughnuts you can buy have a totally different, more dense consistency than that.

I think there are two types of cake donuts, some like the consistency that chocolate moose got and some more dense like the ones I am looking for. I wonder if there is a different way to bake them to get that consisitency.
