I am desperate to find some kind of solution to help my 7 year old son. He wets himself on regular basis day and night, the night time I just let him wear pull ups and shower in the morning, but the day time I can't control, when he is in school... I took him to doctors, they say it'll pass, gave me meds to help dry him up ( vesicare)and keep raising the dosage every time it looses it effect. He is starting to get bullied in school and on the bus because of the smell, its embarrassing for him and for me. If any body as any advice, homeopathic remdy or anything else, please HELP!!!

A friend of mine has a son like that and she got the son a watch with a timer that reminds him to use the bathroom. Keep pursuing doctors because that doesn't sound normal.

As a mother with experience with this exact situation (son is 6 1/2) I would advise you not to just listen to the dr. who says he will grow out of it, go see a specialist, a urologist and have him tested. There are many things that can be wrong.
He can be severly constipated
He can have urinary reflux and when he does urinate, he might not empty his bladder
He might have an unusually small bladder
He might have a problem with the flow
These are a few I have come across. My son was diagnosed with bad constipation and a small bladder. All the buildup in his bowels was pressing on his already small bladder, making him need to go more frequently.
Another thing that might help him is a change in his diet:
When someone drinks a lot of wine, he gets drunk, if you ever see a drunk walking, they stumble, don't walk in a straight line etc... Wine is loaded with sugar, sugar affects muscle controll. When they are drunk they have weak muscle tone.
The bladder is a muscle, omitting sugar and white flour from his diet, might improve the situation. Also there are vitamins to give to strenghthen muscle tone.
If your child is being bullied b/c of this situation, you must get him help, the meds just mask the problem and won't help in the long term.
go to a urologist,
speak to a nutritionist
Good Luck
btw, my son is doing so much better, b"h, we give him lots of fiber and a herbal laxative, we also do charts with incentives, we got him a watch that beeps every hour to remind him to go to the bathroom, he takes vitamins, and we spoke to his rebbe that he should be aware of the situation and remind him to go.
Do not put him on pants with belts, and light colored pants- it's more obvious if it's wet....
hope this helps!
