would you sleep train your child while you KNOW they're teething?
I worked hard to sleep train my child, and he got to the point where he occasionally slept through the night, but now he's been teething majorly the past 3 weeks (getting in 5 teeth-two molars- at once) and hes back to waking up every 30 mins to 1.5 hours. Its going crazy and I cant do this anymore, but do you think its wrong to sleep train when you know they're in pain from teething?

I think when kids are in pain then all bets are off. I don't know exactly what sleep training you mean (putting him at the beginning of the night and not picking up until after he sleeps a bit, or closing hte door at 7pm and not opening it until 7am or something in between). Are you giving him acamol before bed? HOw does he usually get back to sleep vs. what you would do if you were sleep training.
Anyway, in short, no, I would not sleep train a child who was teething / sick / etc.

Sleep training that I mean is putting him in bed, having him to go sleep on his own, and not nursing back to sleep. because when he nurses back to sleep he insists on doing it every 40 mins or so. sleep training that I mean is putting him in the crib, saying "good night" and wait till he falls asleep on his own, and then when he wakes up, go back in and say "good night" and leave him to fall asleep again and not nurse back to sleep...
