Does anyone have the recipe for the chocolate covered pretzles? Also would I buy salted or unsalted pretzles? TIA

I just googled chocolate dipped pretzels, here are a couple recipes:

http://candy.about.com/od/choc.....s.htm
http://www.recipezaar.com/Gour.....39694

The recipes don't specify unsalted pretzels, so I assume you're supposed to use salted. Looks like fun to make!

I've made them both ways and they taste much better with salted pretzels.

The saltiness adds to the flavor.

In a double boiler, put chocolate chips or semi sweet baking bar with some marg or crisco (sorry to offend anyone) For a 10 bag of chocolate chips, I would use 2 t. marg. Melt until smooth.

Dip pretzels into chocolate. cool on parchment paper. If you want to decorate with sprinkles or what ever, sprinkle over chocolate before it sets.

NO thats 2 Tablespoons. It should get nice and creamy. If it;s still very thick, add a bit more marg.
