When you bake brownies ahead to freeze - do you cut them up before putting in the freezer or put the whole think in its original pan? Does it get dried out if you cut it up?

I usually just do the pan, but I also know I want the whole thing when it comes to thawing them (ie. for shabbos). I have debated at cutting up first, but if I did that I'd cut up, freeze for 10 min spread out on a cookie sheet, and then put into the bag, etc. so they don't stick to ea. other.
