I have an ant problem in my apartment in israel, any ideas how to get rid of the ants?

I have a major problem too. I tried spraying, spices and more. Now I use ant baits - like Combat, from the USA and it is th efirst thing that really worked. It's these little houses, like full of bait that the ants eat and bring back to their nests killing all the ants there. I put a bunch of them in the kitchen (where I have my issue) and bli ayin harah, after a few days see only occasional, individual ants!

exterminator.
why are people so afraid to get an exterminator? just leave your apartment for a few hours and thats that.
we had a very bad ant problem when we lived in beit shemesh and we got an exterminator. I left the house for about 5, 6 hours and that was that. no more ants.

seal up any holes they are coming in through. It won't solve it but it helps.

if you have friends or family from the US get them to send you Combat anti-ant disks. Put them in the path of the ants and they will be gone!!

I think everyone has an ant problem in Israel. We need to get them named the national insect or something. It would at least feel better when you see them crawling on the counter.

I was invadded too - nothing helped so I exterminated. it was the best thing, 2 years later and I have yet to see one ant! Its realy worth it.

are the ant baits safe for kids? I get them in my kids room and its becoming a huge problem, and my son wakingup in middle of the night 'juke, juke!!'.
there have been exterminators where we live and they haven't helped long term.
