Wow!! No wonder they call you Miracle Mama!!!

I've been on WW for 1 year now, I had lost 30lb, but then gave up for a few weeks, so I've put on about 7lb (guessing haven't been to weigh in). It's a massive loss, but over 1 year it works out at about 1/2 lb a week. At least it's down!!!!

No tricks. I am just VERY diligent about writing down everything I eat and really keeping to my points. I was already a healthy eater. Not such a big sweet tooth and not into processed junk anyhow. My issue is always portion control. I could sit down and eat an entire box of pasta in a meal without blinking. Now I eat only ONE serving and stretch it out with even more veggies then I would have normally eaten... and give myself time to feel full. That's all really - just being aware and writing it all down and not eating past full feeling just because it tastes sooooo good.

Well I guess you just lose more when you've got more to lose. I have a long road ahead. So 17 pounds sounds like a lot - and I am very happy, it's a GREAT start for me - but it's really just a small dent.

And I think any week the scale goes down, even just a little, is a huge accomplishment.

I have a long way to go too... unfortunately, after 8 weeks of losing, I gained back 1.8 pounds due to 2 weeks of immense stress.... but I've jumped back on the wagon! thanks for the inspiration! Very Happy

Hug I'm so sorry you are in so much pain. As for the eating...try to do one thing a day. Drink the water, or take a brisk walk, or cut out the bread, or count points...something. It doesn't have to be the same thing every day. That way, there will be some element of control. And give yourself time to heal, don't be so hard on yourself. Whatever happens (food wise) happens. It will get easier to focus after a while.

So sorry bdot. Hug I have been there myself so many times.
I have had some rough family stuff going on here myself for the past few days and I have definitely done the emotional eating. I am trying to keep it semi-under-control by making a rule for myself that for these days, until things are resolved, I can snack on all the chocolate I want so long as I still eat 3 normal healthy meals during the day. Better then all the chocolate I want and 3 high calorie junk meals.

HI everyone

yesterday was day #1 on weight watchers!

I have four kids, ranging from 7 months to 6 years. I have 30 pounds to loose.

do you guys weight yourselfs on digital scales only?

any tips for shabbos and regular night dinners?

thanks! I cant wait for this to work, I use the online weight watchers method, and input everything I eat on there.

Im also exercising and nursing

Hi shayna - welcome to the club.
I lost 30lb in about 1 year (Post partum) so it's definately do-able. I mostly went to the weigh in meetings. I have a non-digital scales at home but its much easier on digital (the same everyweek) cos then you can monitor the 1/2 lb as well Smile

good luck
dont forget to check-in with us every now and again.
