If anyone gets the Sunday papers or knows of good school supply sales - notebooks, paper, folders, etc. - please post here. Thanks!

My local Staples said there one cent sale was last week.
BUT special this week included complete rebates on a pack of 0.7 lead pencils (a bit girly), highliters, gel pens, one per family. I just entered the instant rebate form and should get my rebate in 4 -6 weeks.

so I thought it was bad enough that the stores are into school while it's still summer ... but now imamother too ...

follow the sales and buy things as they drop ... and only get that item when it's on sale ... .10 per folder or 4 packs paper for $1.00 - whatever it might be and make a storage area where you can keep them for use during the year ...

I cannot wait 'til my kiddies are ready to go shopping for school supplies.

I have the best memories of shopping for the clean fresh supplies (I did like school and always looked forward to the new year); it was always accompanied w/ a trip to the ice cream shop!

Sorry I can't help directly, as my kids are still young I have not been paying attention to sales and such.

Did you schools send out supplies lists yet?

I am eagerly awaiting the list so that I can hit the early bird sales...

Greenfire, I'm with you. And B"H my school does send out the lists early. They're not the ones dictating the sales. The sales are happening but it's not worth it to me to buy the Sunday papers.

Because DD is in preschool I literally have no idea what they will require. Crayons? Safety scissors?

Try Target & Walmart as well. Even Shoprite has stuff on sale before September.

I don't want to buy school supplies! It's admitting that the summer will end. I don't want school to start again. (Imagine how encouraging I am to my kids about going back to school!)

If you're in the Mountains check out Walmart, they usually have great bargains, or I see this Catskill Shopping Expo advertised coming in August anybody know what they will have ?
