leave the poor woman alone--not everyone wants to rehash what happened. some people are trying to forget. (Though if she were really trying to forget, would she have specified Ground Zero? Downtown manhattan isn't specific enough? Hmm...there are no coincidences. you're right, she's bursting to tell. So tell, already!)

We all know what happened on 9/11, we, curious imamother members, were wondering if you had your own personal story to share.
My grandfather had to walk home that day over the bridge etc, it took him close to 3 hours to get home. He isnt a young man either, but BH he was safe and everything went well !!

I guess everyone has to be somewhere, and wherever they are, there are events to be recalled, but being that mine are somewhat traumatic and certainly unpleasant, why go there?
Hasn't anyone noticed that I try to keep my posts light and unbeat unless I really have a dire situation that I need help with?

I'm sorry, saraG--initially I did think that your silence stemmed from an unwillingness to relive a traumatic experience, and I was annoyed at the people badgering you to tell. But since, as you say, your posts are for the most part lighthearted, I rethought the matter and concluded that if you didn't want to tell you would not have mentioned Ground Zero at all. ( I should have remembered what they tell you in school--your first guess is likely the correct one.) My apologies.
