Does anyone have a recipe for this type of kugel? I heard of it but do not know how to make it? Thanks.

Make a regular potato kugel and then lay strips of flanken on top of it (while potato kugel is still raw) (some people put flanken in middle of kugel but this is what I do)
Cover very tightly and very well.
Put in oven on 200- 220 depending on your oven overnight.
YUMMY!

I also use regular potato kugel recipe.
cut flanken into small pieces. mix into batter.
put in hot oven. 450
after 1/2 hr reduce to 350 cook 1.5rs
can be left in the oven covered well on 300 overnight
ive never tried faygles way but am guessing u dont get much crust if theres flanken on top

I do this as the erev pesach meal - but with meat that's not expensive as flanken, like cholent meat. it's much better with flanken - boneless - but good anyway. pour half the batter in the pan, lay flanken on top and pour the rest of the batter over. Cover and bake @ 250 overnight or at least 8 hours. I did it once during the day and baked it like a regulat potato kugel - @ 450 for 1 hour uncovered - and then covered it and turned it down to 300 for another 2 hours and it was fine.

I take a roast that's more on the fat side than lean, slice it very thin when partially frozen, then layer that in the kugel. Bake uncovered in hot oven for the first hour or so, then cover and bake anywhere from another 2 -10 ish hours on low.
