custard apple? I havent seen that around in brooklyn. it sounds good.
we had:
passion fruit. yummy.
figs. good too
pepino melon. not even sure its haetz but bought anyway. it tasted like throw up.
rimon. always good. but not exciting and different. we have it a lot at home
dragon fruit. tasteless. I bought one in israel when we were there for yom tov that was purple inside - this one was white - and it tasted incredible. never had such good shehecheyanu fruit as when I was in israel.

hmm . ur absolutely right! dragonfrit really does have the texture of kiwi, with all those tiny seeds, but none of the taste. didnt think the skin was meant to be eaten either

We had dragon fruit and fresh figs.

The dragon fruit is pretty bland tasting. The figs were really sweet.

We also had dates on a stem, very sweet, star fruit and pomegranate.

we thought the skin would make for a more interesting event ...

also had a pomegranate - but that was for the 613 seeds ... which we didn't try to count ...

We had horned melon. Did anyone ever have it. My Dh who eats anything thought it was gross. Or better yet as my DD said slimly yet unsatisfying.

We ate a star fruit. It was OK, but a bit insipid. Usually it has more tang.

What is a dragon fruit?

We had dragonfruit, too. And quince, ugli fruit (though I joked about whether that might not be a good siman), and starfruit.

I wasn't that impressed with the dragonfruit. I guess it's better when it's fresh from the tree.

I saw a dragon fruit for the first time-it it so cool looking! Looks like something you'd see swimming in a coral reef.

We had pomegrantes, sabras, horned mellon, fresh dates and figs, red tamarillo and star fruit.

Ever try yellow dragonfruit? Much better and sweeter than the red, but very expensive and rare.
