So, my 11 month old had an anaphelactic reaction to egg yolk and spent three days in the hospital stabalizing. He has asthma and a rear genetic condition that presents with respiratory difficulties. I am looking for good allergist in the NYC area. Any recommendations?
Also my pediatriction will not give him the flu shot or the MMR vaccination because these contain eggs. Because of his underlying genetic condition the concequences of him getting the flu or chas veshalom measals mumps or rubella are serious. How have others whose kids have egg allergies handled these vaccinations?

Just to let everyone know:
There is this great website
ratemd.com
You can look for any doctor -any specialty all over USA
Once you specify -the search engine will show you the best rated doctors first
People actually go and rate all of these doctors and sometimes it helps reading reviews before going to any doctor.
So perhaps if anyone has something to say about a particular doctor that is or is not listed there (because you can add doctros) - feel free to do so

Dr. Marcus is an allergist/pulmonologist, which means he specializes in Asthma and allergy.

I third Dr. Erlich!!!!!!! SUch an amazing docotor. My baby is also allergic to eggs, so I understand what you're going through. He is not able to have the flu vaccine, but I was allowed to give him the MMR. Much hatzlocha!!

I know of a wonderful frum allergist. Dr. Sigmund Friedman in BP. Very knowledgable doctor and a talmid chochom too. 718-435-6857.

I heard Dr. Ronit Herzog is great, but I believe there's a very long wait for an appointment. Maybe you should get immediate care now, and make an appointment w/her anyway for a second opinion down the line.
