Anyone have an idea of how to do that (without it falling apart)? Please help me! Thanks.

I make chicken pot pie without a crust. I use small individual sized ramekins (or individual disposable aluminum muffin pans), and serve it like that.
(I do place a piece of puff pastry over each cup.)

Shepherd's pie generally doesn't have a crust and it's still called a pie.

right, it'd be a betty or a crumble or whatever it's supposed to be called.

dahlink if you don't want it to fall apart make the liquid thick either with potatoes, corn starch, some flour, or less water to the "stew" and stir often to create the thickness as well as cook on low for a long long long time ... I add split peas to my recipe as well for thickness and taste ...

well, it doesn't stand up by itself, but nor does chicken pot pie with a crust. It's in a dish. Without a crust it's more like a chicken stew type of thing.

I mean you can eat the filling on its own, you don't need the crust.
