I know, this is something that I need to ask a rav, but I can't get to him now.
Im making a parve soup, it is made in a milky pot (the pot has been used for milchigs in the last 24 hours) anyway I want to use my parve hand immerson blender to blend it...
can I do that? will the blender remain parve?
thanks

Did you wash the pot first? Are you blending it hot ?

are there onions or spicy ingredients ...
I would leave the soup chunky - both for keeping the immersion blender pareve from the milky soup ... and it's more hearty that way as well ...

If the food is hot and u used the pot for dairy in the last 24 hours, I believe the blender does not stay pareve.

I would guess that this is true. And I wouldn't be surprised if it were true even if the pot hadn't been used that recently. Although bedieved (after the fact) it might be ok if the pot wasn't ben yomo, if you knew about it going in...not sure if that would change things. I wouldn't use it until you're okay with it becoming milchik.
Most blended soups taste pretty good unblended too.
