Hot water urns-whats good?

Im tired of junky hot water urns...what kind do you have that lasts (for Shabbos too) and is easy to use- some of the pump ones r impossible! & I dont want aluminum

There isn't a lot of choice, and they're not that well made. At least you get a clean urn every few years.

Mine tend to last 3-5 years and then the pump wears out. I'm thinking of maybe just using it for Shabbos and using either an electric kettle or a stove top one but I'm so used to having it on 24/7.

We FINALLY invested in INSTANT HOT WATER on our sink and it is amaaaazing... I wish we could use it on Shabbos. It makes life so much simpler.
AND FYI
We were at someone's house today that had a Melitta hot water urn that looked sturdy and attractive...

You would not believe how much money it costs to run a hot water urn all week.
Stop using it for a month, and see how much less your electric bill is Smile
