I was wondering, does everybody sing maoz tzur? And with the same melody? I've never heard it with any other melody.

There is a beautiful slow melody we sang in our seminary Chanukah choir. But how can I sing it for you? I might have an old tape somewhere - can I get thet onto YouTube?
PM me and I can give you my phone number and sing it to you!

Oh I don't necessarily need to hear it, I was just wondering if everybody sings it the same way.

Here's a nice site that explains the history, best known melodies, and has midi links that are instrumental only. The Marcello one is popular as an alternative to the German best-known tune.

nice link imasinger.
dh sings the german one. as a bt, the first tune I learned was the marcello one which I sang in a choir.
we usually do the german one at home, but a few nights dh has me sing "my" version alone.

marcello's is beautiful. I've sung it in a choir. here's a link (another choir). they're not so great. actually, I'm cringing while listening to it. but the composition is beautiful.
