The PM has just resigned. It's a very strange feeling here in the UK. Nobody has a clue as to what the future holds, of what the UK will look like now we're voted to Leave.
Apparently it will take us two years to untangle ourselves from the EU. It's going to be an interesting time!

I'm pretty devastated. Not at the small issues but at the potential failure of the EU which I think is an amazing project. Also angry that older people (who won't live with the long term repercussions) are deciding the future for the young, who will live with it.

Young, educated people mostly voted to remain.

Thank you to all the posters here for their elucidation of this event.
I am not informed enough to have an educated opinion this way or that.
Nevertheless I have found the entire process interesting and, I have to say, admirable.
I think the very fact that the issue went to a referendum (even taking into account that there were internal political reasons motivating the initiative) is insipiring.
I think it was correct that this crucial decision should be determined directly by the people,
I also think it was correct that Cameron resigned.
I think that Israel's political system and culture has much to learn from these proceedings and the way in which they were conducted.

Time for another Scottish referendum.

Nicola's speech was quite impressive.

Wow. This news is quite stunning. I wonder how this is going to impact the rest of the EU and subsequently, the rest of world.
