I ordered an Amazon order with a few items that all got shipped in the same box. A big package that was supposed to be delivered today. NOW ITS ARRIVING TOMORROW. I needed one of the items specifically b4 shabbos. I chatted with amazon to complain and they said they would refund half my order.
Would you have complained or understood that the shipment was delayed and been patient?

Not stealing. It's their policy.
I've requested refunds, then received the item and messaged them to ask what to do. If it's not a big ticket item they usually say to keep it

I once ordered a big ticket item (few hundred dollars) from Walmart.
It was supposed to arrive within a week. After 10 days I called and they said to wait a few more days. So I did. It said in transit on the tracking website. After 3 weeks they shipped out a new one and I got it 3 days later. TWO days after that THE ORIGINAL arrived.
I called in and they told me they don't have anything on file. So they can't send me a return label, if I want I can return it to the store. And try to return it if they will be able to find it in the system It was a over a hundred lbs item and dh wasn't able to fit it into the car.
I called in 2 more times as it was taking up all the space in my garage....
I needed up giving it away to my sister who was looking to buy the same item.
Her husband came w his van. He lifts heavy objects as part of his job and was able to manage it into his van and into their house....

It was not stealing. It was a computer glitch and I needed my garage space.
