....at the same time.
This poses a challenge on Pesach bec. of Shabbos Chulent getting replaced with Goulash.
I used a bowl (in which I served my soupy Goulash) on top of a dinner plate (on which I served my Kugel, and salads, etc).
What have you done?

do we assume the goulash goes in the bowl and the kugel on the plate ... or does the kugel go center bowl surrounded by the goulash ...
dd would prefer to lick it straight off the table ...

Why do I need to shlep 2 things like an animal ? I serve from the kitchen, and sometimes it's buffet style.

I had a similar problem. I put bowls next to the plates. (This was self-serve at the table.) When I returned from the kitchen with more sides, everyone had "soup" on their plates. Turns out it wasn't as soupy as I thought!

I put grated potatoes in my Pesach chulent so it is not so runny. It looked almost like real chulent. First we had a course with fish and salads, then chulent was the main course with nothing else on the plate.
