I know, so do alot of strollers such as bumbleride etc
bugaboo does too.
I just wish this particular gorgeous old fashioned pram that looks straight out of like the 1800's! came with some sort of realistic way to use it with older kids! just dreaming aloud.

what sort of age do you want to use it for? some prams come with an optional seat which you can put on top, they're probably good til age 3 or so.

lol Im not looking to buy it. Im just admiring it.
I have a bugaboo cameleon and am happy with it. It has a bassinet, graco car seat adaptor, and toddler seat. Its lasted me thru 2 kids and is pretty versatile IMO.
I just wish that this silver cross beautiful old fashioned class of strollers (ie: silver cross "kensington," silver cross "balmoral,"etc) came with an upright seat!!

I saw another one on Shabbos-- I was pretty surprised.
It looks like it should be pushed by a uniformed nanny, not by a regular looking mother.

This is what I was wondering about with regard to the silver cross strollers!
they are so gorgeous, but without a sitting up option, they seem kindof pointless because they wont last you so long!
to me, the Inglesina stroller you have, is almost like a much more elegant and old fashioned version of the bugaboo, it seems practical. (although only as a walking stroller, I doubt you can fold that and put it in the back of a car!)

alexandra, its GORGEOUS
thanks for posting.
if I didnt have a car I would totally want one. Its too ipractical for me, living somewhere where walking on Shabbos is rare (we dont hold by the Eruv in our neighborhood) and I drive to most places.

My mother had one for all of us. it lasted for 9 children. The top half of the mattress folded up and there was a bar behind it that you could slide down to make it into a sitting position and there were 2 metal bits on the sides so you could attach a harness for the baby.

I wonder if the ones they make nowadays will even last that long?

I've always loved those prams. Once in a while I see them in Central Park.
