My quilt is full of huge blood stains. How is the best way to take it out? Can I wash it in a washing machine?

H2O2, or hydrogen peroxide will take them out if they're fresh.

What I need to know is how to get them out if they've already been through the dryer.

You might wanna try oxy clean powder. Let it soak for about 6 hours

Make sure your quilts are washable. If they are, soak them in the oxy for 6 hours, then scrub the stains with a cleaning toothbrush, and place them in a very large machine (take them to the laundromat if you have to, and wash each piece separately.)

If the oxy doesn't work (you will know if it works if the stains are out even before you wash them in the washer) squirt Cascade Dishwashing Gel on the wet stains (they need to be wet.) Allow the gel to sit for 10-15 minutes. Then scrub with all your might.

If that doesn't work Sad the only thing that would is Rit Color Remover.

Let us know what happens!

I read somewhere (maybe on this site?) about using meat tenderizer (spice) to remove blood stains. Of course I purchased that spice-- but can't remember for the life of me what to do with it!

Probably make some sort of paste with it... but not sure.

As long as it has not been washed, hydrogen peroxide works GREAT!
