DH spill the water from negel vasser about 2 days ago, we just let it dry but now it smells moldy and I actually find mold on bottom of night stand. I took a hair dryer and dried where water was spill because it seemed still wet but now the smell is worth.
how can I get rid of the moldy smell and mold on carpet?

Oy vey. Mold is quite a serious health risk.
If you have te funds, call a mold specialist.

Wash the carpet as best as you can with carpet detergent and a scrub brush. Hopefully the wood floor underneath was not affected c"v.
(Of course if the carpet is not tacked down, pick it up and see what's going on with the underside of the carpet, and with the floor.)
I know this sounds drastic, but if possible, use sandpaper to sand down the area on the wood that was affected as soon as you possibly can. The longer the mold sits, the more the spores will multiply.
Hug and good luck!

Dry it quickly, with cold air from the hair dryer.
It cannot air dry, since there are more layers underneath.

Actually, just place a fan there, and keep it blowing for a day or so.

Sprinkle baking soda and leave it on for a few hours then vacuum it up. I've tried this before for wet carpet from an a/c spilling and it worked great.
