I have been looking for a new job for awhile now, and due to my location it seems that 50% of the jobs in my field require a security clearance so I am wondering if I should apply for one.
A few questions:
How hard is it to get one?
How much do they examine you? Do I have to be concerned that an FBI agent will follow my every move?
Will I be able to leave the country (either temporarily or permanently) without getting into serious trouble?

If you'd like, you can PM me. I've been investigated twice for clearance.
